Tasting wines is not hard, but there are a few simple tips that will help you choose a good one:
-Its always best to have some food before a winetasting. This keeps the wine from affecting you too much
-Do not chew gum, breath mints, smoke, or eat candy prior to a tasting. It will mess with your taste buds and affect the flavor!
-Allow the pourer to have you taste the wines in the proper order. Jumping around a wine list will mess with those taste buds too!
-Have fun, taste all the wines you like, you might be suprised!
Wines come in two general categories, dry (no sweetness) and sweet (varying amounts of sweetness). Do not assume you only like one or the other, we can fool you...
